This year is another sad New Year for me... my 2nd great-uncle passed away ytd after a fall in his hse in the morning... Its the 2nd time for my family to go throught this thing... I got a call from my uncle n called my mum straight after that...

I was controlling my emotion n tears all the way to the hospital but i just can't control any more when i saw my youngest aunt n grandmother weep, it was the last straw for me when we went to the identify the body, its so painful to see your next of kin lying on the cold table wrapped inside the white sheet, though he is not very close to me, my heart still hurts, afterall he is still my great-uncle...

The wake was held for a day and cremenated this morning, watching it going into the incinerator and yelling his name for the last time was another painful thing to do. I just couldn't hold back my tears any longer. Had breakfast at Tao Payoh n went back to the temple to collect the ashes, this time, we r not allowed to cry, i didn't cry so i told myself that my great-uncle has finally stop suffering from his sickeness, all his troubles n suffering has stop n now he can finally relax... but thinking how he was talking to us 2weeks ago now has gone forever saddened me again...

The funny thing is, my relatives said we r still able to celebrate Chinese New Year cuz its my great-uncle's funeral n he belongs to the 'mother' side.... I even ask my aunt how am i supposed to survive with the only a few totally white tops for 49days, then she said its okay, i can wear anty colour including red/pink... ???? i'm still pretty perplexed abt it, no matter who side my great-uncle belongs to, he is still part of my family n aren't we ought to morn??? how r we supposed to treat as if nothing happened n go celebrate New Year.... hmmmm~ but anyway me n my family r going to my cousin's hse tml...

Oh well, i still wanna wish u guys a very Happy New Year, enjoy urselves n collect lots of hongbao alright?
